Third Street South’s 43rd Annual Christmas on Third celebration will be a bit different this year. Instead of the single and very crowded Tree Lighting on one night, we are extending the celebration from November 23rd through Christmas and New Year’s so that Neapolitans and visitors can stroll among the twinkly lights and happy decorations, listen to music, and be snowed upon in smaller groups and more safely.

The iconic tree lighting ceremony will take place virtually this year, so make sure to tune into WINK news on Monday evening to see the Naples Mayor and Santa Claus light the tree and inaugurate Mistletoe for 2020: The Elbow Bump Ball. Look for Elbow Bump Mistletoe Balls in trees, archways and some stores around Third Street. This fun socially distanced twist on the classic Mistletoe Ball is perfect for fun and photographs this season. Send them via social media with the hashtag #ChristmasOnThird. Introducing The First Annual Third Street South Spectacular Store Window and Restaurant Decoration Contest

New this year! The First Annual Third Street South Spectacular Store Window and Restaurant Decoration Contest, to be judged by the public, with a prize of $1000 for each of the two categories and a raffle of a Spectacular Third Street Holiday Gift Basket for which voters can be eligible. Vote for the Most Wonderful and Imaginative Store Window and Most Wonderful and Imaginative Overall Restaurant simply by scanning the QR code located on the Contest sign in each store or restaurant, by voting in person at the Third Street Concierge Kiosk, or by visiting the Contest Page on the Third Street South website. Third Street South restaurants are recommending reservations so you can dine and stroll at leisure, and stores and restaurants are still requesting shoppers and diners wear masks and practice safe distancing. Many of the stores are selling masks, many in festive designs that pick up the spirit of the season.
