NAPLES, FL, – November 21, 2022 – Third Street South, Naples’ historic and iconic downtown shopping and dining district, celebrates the holiday season with its 45th annual “Christmas on Third,” a month-long calendar of events for all ages. Christmas on Third kicks off on Monday, November 22 with the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:20pm in the courtyard in front of Tony’s Off Third followed by a Naples “snowfall” at 6:20pm and again at 8:00pm. Visitors may spend the evening strolling along the street and avenues enjoying live musical performances, viewing decorated storefront windows and Art of the Red Kettle displays from Salvation Army, and taking photos with Santa Claus. Restaurants and shops will be open for dining and shopping, with dining reservations highly recommended. A 7:00pm snowfall will continue nightly during Thanksgiving week, excluding Thanksgiving night November 25.
For the month of December, Christmas on Third evenings continue every Thursday and Friday from 5pm – 8pm with live music, a Naples “snowfall” at 7pm, decorated storefront windows and thousands of twinkling lights. Events will not be held on December 24 or 31. Take a selfie in front of your favorite storefront window display, post on social media with the hashtag “ChristmasonThird” to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a gift card from one of Third Street South’s restaurants or shops.
New this year- Santa Paws! On Sunday December 5th and 12th from 12-2pm, Santa Claus will be available for photos with your furry, four-legged friends. Bring your pet on its leash and pose with jolly Old St. Nick for a treasured memory. Professional photographer not on site, please bring a camera. Post your photos on social media with the hashtag “ChristmasonThird” to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a gift card from one of Third Street South’s restaurants or shops.
