All manner of pets participate in the annual Pets on Third Celebration, Parade and Show. The best pet supply shops bring chic and practical items. Excellent veterinarians, trainers and pet boarders offer advice and services, and pet portraitists and more are in attendance. Each year pets of all sizes, costumed according to the year’s theme (to be announced) follow the Mayor as Grand Marshall in the Pet Parade. They compete for top prize for the best-executed theme costume, the best pet and owner themed look-alike, and other awards. Foods and drinks for pets and people throughout and pets are welcome wherever possible.
Pets on Third – The Lifestyle
Third Street South is very pet-friendly and has a European attitude towards pets accompanying their humans. Water bowls and treats are found many places and the occasional necessities can be found in special holders on the Area directories at the corner of Third and Thirteenth. Bring your non-human friends.
